I have this friendship that I love. I can't really explain the ins and outs, but I feel very thankful that I have it! Most people probably wonder what in the world, about the two of us girl's, but it doesn't matter! So. yesterday I went over to help my friend and we spent the day organizing and cleaning.I was suppose to get my hair cut...but that came later! To get her small apartment in order after a time of sickness, vacation, and lots of hectic scheduling. Plus, Christmas Spending on her part. Now, we both have some handiness about us, but nothing could have prepared us for what we were about to get into! It seemed one thing just led to another thing and before we knew it everything was undone. Greg calls this, "Shaving a Yack!" I went over at noon and came home at six! I am also, grateful for Greg and another dear friend for helping with the kiddos all day. Okay, this could become a big ramble...but it's a BLOG and I think it's a good place.
Picture this: We were trying to replace her old 70's lights with IKEA lights....so it being her home she took down lights, why I watched! To scared to touch the wiring. I don't do wiring!!! So, for a while we had lights just hanging from wires...the bed had to be moved and that required moving things from underneath the bed, OF COURSE. Then, we had to move picture frames. Small piles became bigger piles...then we had to fix this little night stand...okay this was just comical. Her response, " I sure did learn a lot from Handy Manny!" To which I snorted and laughed hysterically! I'm pretty sure that any male watching us...would have thought we had lost our minds!!! HAHAHA! It was a maze of chaos!!! And very adventurous!
Okay, Okay, so my day was full of laughs, pizza, and building a much closer relationship! I always think it funny how we build memories when we are totally being ourselves...one more thing...I turned the opposite way on a ONE WAY street!! She said, "you know you turned the wrong way on that street" Me, "No I didn't" Her, "YES YOU DID!!!" Me, "Where was the sign"... Her,"Right in front of your face." Me, "OH, I didn't see it." LOL!!! And she still loves me for who I am!!! And I love her...her Handy Manny Skills and ALL!!! Shannon
