Meatball-Stuffed Braided Bread
You can make it as simple or as fancy as you would like!
Place on a rectangle cookie sheet once you have rolled it into a rectangle...it's hard to move once you get everything put into place.
Preheat oven to 375 F
1 ready made pizza crust or bread dough
16 meatballs, already frozen
1/4 chopped onion
1/4 chopped green peppers
1/2 mozz. cheese
1/2 tomato sauce - I used spaghetti sauce!
braid dough...this is hard to understand, without showing you....roll out the long ways..not like a circle, more a rectangle. Then, down the sides evenly make slits in the dough. 2 inches between each cut. Do NOT cut all the way across....you will need an isle per say down the middle to put the ingredient. Two meatballs beside each other from one end to another...see my picture! Then fold one side over and then another until you reach the bottom. Sprinkle with salt and olive oil. Oil the cookie sheet to bake.
Bake 375 F for 20 to 30 minutes
Serve with Salad or Fresh fruit
Serves about 6 people
