You are worth more than many sparrows...

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Frog in the Kettle !

There are times in our lives when we are trudging along and deep in the thick of it! We don't realize how much has changed around us. An example, last month we were given a fish tank. This has been such a great experience for all of us. We purchased bulbs to grow real plants. At first, we weren't sure if they would even come up. It's difficult to create an eco system from scratch, but then we saw a little green sprout. We were so thrilled! We planted 4 bulbs and this was the only sign that we would have plants. We were watching it like a hawk. It was changing so aggressively at first. Then, it slowed down every day it was changing just a little bit. We began getting less impressed with the growth until one day we were gone all day. When we came back home and enter the house that plant looked so HUGE!!!! It had changed so much. I realized it had been changing a little bit all along, but since I was home all day I wasn't seeing it. I'm sure it's how my parents feel when they see our children. We don't notice how much they have changed, but my parent's are able to point out all the new things they are doing. How they have changed since the last time they had seen them. I'm down trudging along in the thick of it. It takes stepping back to see the big changes, whether good or bad. ALL of this to say, I had a similar experience this weekend. I had stepped out of a situation and then was given the privilege to step back in. It had a huge impact on me!!! Sometimes we need wake up calls in life to see how much changes around us so that we don't take people and things for granted! I was thankful and humbled for the reminder. Thank you, Lord for my family! Do you need to step back and get a new perspective on something you might see everyday! ~ Shannon

  1. Loved having you and Ava home this weekend. I would have never seen the pudge on those little legs ;-)
