A Holy Unraveling - Heart-ly Blog

When ever you try something new, you make your self vulnerable! This can be scary and uncomfortable. I recently put some necklaces that I created on a face book page called Ta-Da Beaded Necklaces. This was a big step for me because I do have a fear of being rejected. I "can" care to much what other people think of me and what I create. This summer I hosted a bible study with some great Ladies to read through a book entitled, THE ROOT OF REJECTION, by Joyce Meyer. I am so thankful that I have read this book because over and over again I have had rejection situation that could have really hurt me. Due to reading the book I have a "tool box" of way to help me get through rejection. As well as, encouragement and reminders to know that GOD is for me! He wants me to succeed and be trusting in HIM. While, I would love for my necklaces to sell and this blog to reach many. Even, if that doesn't happen it is possible for me to move on without my core identity being wounded. I might not have been able to say that before! Joshua 1:9 says, ...Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go! I don't know about you! But, I really needed to read those words today! If you also have trouble with rejection, Joyce Meyer encourages us to start working with the Lord to build your security in Christ. Learn how to become uprooted from all the wrong things and to be replanted in all the right things. Refer to scripture for the right things! - Shannon
