You are worth more than many sparrows...

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Inter Personal Growth

I am taking a college level class called Inter Personal Growth. I was so excited about this class. I am always up for some growth. Little did I know that God was going to take me for a spin! Oh yeah!!! I think I'm still upside down...at this point I'm thinking I may stay that way. When I'm right side up I will let you know. It may not be ever...LOL. Anyway, back to my thoughts. I am reading a book right now called Who Switched Off My Brain! Perfect title for me, and I am floored at how perfect the reading is for me. I totally recommend it!!! Another of the books is Telling Yourself the Truth. At this point just club me over the head with a 2x4 because I am speechless. if I can apply what I am learning, I am going to be a new person. I am really going to throw off the old and be new. I have to admit to you though that I am struggling through my reads. I am guilty, and convicted every other sentence. Not only am I getting the message through the books, it's like every quote, song, scripture, message is about the same thing! It's a message from God that I just can't ignore. Ever have that? It's as if HE, my Lord is waving his hands trying to get my attention! He has it, and now that I have this new information I have to do something about it. I am going through the refiners fire and it's not pleasant. My self-righteous attitude, pride, and lies have been toxic to myself and those around me. It seems I thought I was a very honest person with those around me, but I lie every day to myself. I'm learning that I lie to others about who I am too, because I didn't know the truth. How can I be a honest servant if I don't become honest with what I tell myself. I encourage you to give these books a read. ~ Shannon
