You are worth more than many sparrows...

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Alice and Ana - Chickens!

My Mom has had a love for chickens for as long as I can remember. It has been a wonderful part of my childhood. We have incubated eggs and watched the little chicks hatch. Delightful and a wonderful memories about Easter and Spring that I hold very dear. There are so many great stories in my family that include chickens. I have been wanting to get some for our family, but it's not the right time just yet. BUT, my Mom still has her chickens and my children are forming their own memories with my Mom. It's very endearing to watch! My daughter Ana loves animals. She was recently at Grandma's and was inspired to write a story about Grandma's 3 chickens, here goes...

One Dirty Chicken
For my Grandpa and Grandma
Once upon a time, there was a chicken...a dirty chicken and her name was Alice. She
lived at a little girl's, Grandma's house. The Grandma took care of her. Feeding her, and giving her water. The little girl helped. But, she was dirty no matter what.
One day the little girl came to the Grandma's house. The little girl asked, “ Can I go see the chickens?” The Grandma said, “Yes!” So the little girl went outside to see the chickens. There were three chickens . There where three chickens, one was Alice, the next was Rascal, and then Petal. Alice was the dirty one the other two where clean. The two clean ones let the little girl pick them up. But not Alice. Grandma came and yelled from in the house, “ time to put the chickens away and please feed them.” “Okay,” said the little girl. So she feed them, and petal nipped at her! But the little girl put the chickens away and went inside. And that little girl was me!
