You are worth more than many sparrows...

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[a] 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

2013

I keep reading post from friend's about goals that they want to get done this New Year! I have no problem with goals and bettering myself. I just can't do everything at one time. I'm a take one thing at a time person. You probably won't see me running a 5k or 10k this year. Just starting to walk around the block would be a huge goal. I won't be blogging excessively or running a bible study. But, I might personally build some lasting/edifying friendships.
The start of this year already seems full!!! It can be a challenge just to get my family of 6 to church to worship. Waking up every day of the week getting three little girl's to school, home school our 7th grader and our jobs is a big deal.
My Word This Year Is: TRUST
This year I will try to grow personally in the word of God with some of the wisest women I know, will happen! Going through my bible study book on Grace will also happen, one chapter at a time. I just can't try to keep up with anyone else! I have to do what has been put before me and stay focused. I'm a wife, that must be supportive, a Mama, that must be loving, and a friend, that needs to stay available. There are times I see others wonderful goals and think I need to do their goals too. BUT, it's important to think about what season of life you are in and what you & your family can be realistic about! I would like to cook more for our family, sit around our dining room table together, and think more highly of the people we are surrounded by daily. Give the benefit of the doubt and be as encouraging as I possibly can to others. I know I will fail at times, but if I keep focused and keep my goals realistic. Possibly, I can attain some of them and help better myself and those around me. I want to make my goals doable and attainable. If I get to bogged down then nothing will be done because I will get too overwhelmed! So, I hope you can come up with some attainable goals and keep your focus. What ever you decided on, dedicated to the Lord and find joy in your accomplishment. - Shannon
